This film adaptation from graphic novel, is set in an old, 1873, western Arizona small town. Jake Lonergan wakes up and wanders into this town with no memory of his past. He is soon discovered to be a wanted man, and as he's about to be taken to a Federal Marshal the small town is attacked by the unforeseen aliens (demons). Some are taken, and this forces the remaining survivors to go and search for their missing family members.

Okay, lame title-they could've thought of a better name rather than Cowboys & Aliens (I don't care if it's the same as the graphic novels). For a film it's one of the worst titles to choose from, because it ruins a lot of its credibility before anyone see's the film. Once previews began coming out audience's saw that this has a lot of potential for a film. Anyway, the story line is surprisingly good. Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford did a great job, not really working with each other, but being featured in this film together. The two don't speak much during the course of the film. They portrayed two different cowboys-that are common among westerns. Harrison plays the bad ass whose really a softe at heart. Craig portray's the classic western hero. Olivia Wilde is really starting to come into her own among popular film audience's. I also love her eyes-their so beautiful. Some people might have a hard time watching Sam Rockwell in this film, because of his previous role in Iron Man 2. Ironically, this is also a good film for Jon Favreau to direct. This will definitely be another film to establish his name a sa director (not an actor). I loved the look for the aliens-it was unique to the film, and yet kind of familiar style wise. Scott Chambliss did a great job being the production designer. The ending began a couple of plot twists that just seemed kind of random. They could've explored some of the character relationships a bit more, but what was shown was good. You got a sense of where everyone stood. It was highly random that everything, and everyone, seems to want gold-for some unknown reason. Apart from the random moments of plot twists, it was a great emotional happy ending.

I give this film a 9 out of 10 stars! It's something that everyone can enjoy. Not a lot of human blood, but there is some. The acting is good, the effects were good, and the alien designs were good.
