Caution: This Might Contain Spoilers!
If you enjoy my blog, you may enjoy my facebook page!

This film is based off the novel by Isaac Marion. R is an usual zombie with the ability to think clearly. He meets Julie during an attack, and decides to save her instead of eat her. The two begin to form an usual relationship that leads to change.

This film was directed by Jonathan Levine. Okay, this is obviously not your usual zombie film. This film offers give zombies a different presentation. That being said, a lot of die hard fans of the zombie genre will be disappointed with this film. However, this film is good date film for those couples who are un-conventional. The story is full of its own charm and humorous wit. It is considered a paranormal romance-which has become a new film genre. This film doesn't have a lot of gore in it. There are poorly computer animated villains (the Bonies) in the film. The zombie effects are simplistic but effective for the film. The backdrop of an apocalypse world was great creating an idea of the chaos surrounding the characters. This film isn't horror, but it does have several moments of tension.

The cast worked great together. Nicholas Hoult played the role of R. He was great in his role. He kept the zombie lifeless without being bland. Teresa Palmer played the role of Julie. She was great in her role. She created a heartwarming character who was trapped in the apocalypse  Analeigh Tipton played the role of Nora. She was good in her smal role. She added some small heartfelt humour to the film. Rob Corddry played the role of M. He was great in his small role. He added several moments of humour to the film. Dave Franco played role of Perry. He was great in his small role.

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars! It is a film with a unique twist on the zombie myth. It does a great job in keeping the feel of a zombie film.
