Father Lozano witnesses strange events happening around a young woman, Angela. Believing her to be possessed, he sends hospital tapes to the Vatican. Cardinal Bruun is sent to assist Father Lozano with an exorcism.
This film was directed by Mark Neveldine. This film follows many of the familiar tropes of possession movies. It tries to offer something new with the genre, but fails to do. Even though this film has a creepy factor to it there are no real scares. There is nothing that makes any sequence stand out as truly frightening. I did enjoy the deception of a good hearted girl next door they used for the ending. Sadly, I think a lot the films too clean focus kept it from being frightening. Olivia Taylor Dudley (Olivia Dudley) played the role of Angela. She did a decent job at playing a frightened possessed victim, but not as a demon. Michael Pina played the role of Father Lozano. He was a good supporting actor who didn't spend as much time on screen as he should have.
I give this film 2 out of 5 stars! This tries to be original, but fails to do so.
This film can be seen on DVD.
