Deadpool

Caution: This Might Contain Spoilers!
If you enjoy my blog, you may enjoy my facebook page!

This film is based off Marvel's comic character with the same name, and is considered the eight installment to the X-Men franchise. After Wade Wilson discovers that he has cancer, he agrees to undergo a torturous transformation that will give him mutant genes to save his life. He gets betrayed, and seeks revenge on the scientist that created and disfigured him.

This film was directed by Tim Miller. Before you ask, yes, this film is full of mature content. It is full of sexual innuendo's and violence. Because of this, it breaks the traditional mold of recent superhero films. The story itself is simple and classic, but the characters make it enjoyable. Its breaking of the fourth wall makes this film unique. It also gains its uniqueness in that the main character is not your typical hero. The action in this film is great to watch on screen. The computer animation turned out great. The fully computer generated character looked believable on screen. There are plans to make a sequel, and there is an ending clip after the film. Ryan Reynolds played the role of Wade Wilson/Deadpool. He was great in this role. Stefan Kapicic voiced the character Colossus. He was great at opposing Reynolds' less heroic image. Ed Skrein played the role of Ajax. He was a great villain for this film, but didn't stand out too much. Morena Baccarin played the role of Vanessa. She was a great supporting actress.

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars! It offers a refreshing twist on superhero films.

This film can be seen in theaters.
