Caution: This Might Contain Spoilers!

This film was directed by Michael J. Bassett. This film is a direct on screen representation of the Silent Hill 3 game-no other way around it. It the game and changed it slightly to better fit as a sequel to the first film. I can see why it got negative reviews from critics, because this film was made more for lovers of the franchise. The story might appear confusing, because a lot of things are happening in this 94 minute film. If you've played the game it is easier to understand it. It also allows fans to pick up all the small tributes to the game franchise, and the familiar characters that appear in the end. The story follows Heather Mason, whose name is actually Sharon. In this film she wasn't reincarnated, but instead managed to escape Silent Hill, and grow into a young adult. This film follows her discovery of her own past. I think this film didn't fully pay attention to the small details that could've pieced it together much easier. But, it did a great job in creating a film sequel. This film does amp up the gore by a lot, and provides plenty of horror tension. It provides several disturbing sequences. So, this film is not for children. The creatures in this film were done amazingly well. They created several familiar monsters from the video games. They also created an awesome amped up mannequin spider villain, and a twist on the missionary monster in this film. It was also great how the monsters played with the 3D effects.

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars! I really enjoyed this film. Granted, its probably because I'm a fan of the franchise. It is also a good thriller film for the holidays.
