Finding Dory and Piper

Caution: This Might Contain Spoilers!
If you enjoy my blog, you may enjoy my facebook page!

This film is the sequel to Finding Nemo. This film follows the story of the amnesiac friend Dory. She sets off on an adventure to locate her missing parents with Nemo and Marlin. Dory makes some new friends and discovers the meaning of family.

This film was directed by Andrew Stanton and Angus MacLane. This film is has the same plot as its predecessor (why mess with a working formula, right?). This film isn't great, but it a decent heartwarming adventure. The story will make audiences laugh at its outrageousness and cry at its most sincere moments. The film also does bring more light to human interference. There is also an annoyance with this films need to frequently remind audiences what is happening in the story. It uses this to try to show audiences how Dory's mind is working, but it gets tiring very quickly. Ellen DeGeneres returned as the voice of Dory. She is great returning to this role. There was a fear that following her story would be disastrous, because her character was enjoyable in small amounts. However, her likable nature keeps this film alive. Ed O'Neil voiced the character Hank. He works great with Degeneres. Albert Brooks returned as the voice of Marlin. He has gone from being a main character to the side character. It is a unique change that works for the film. Hayden Rolence voiced the character Nemo. Nemo feels like he's there as a reminder of the films predecessor.

Piper is the animated short that opens Finding Dory. This short is both adorable and heartwarming. This short features some of the best animation I've seen in a while. I give this short 5 out of 5 stars!

This film can be still be seen in theaters!

I give this film 5 out of 5 stars! It is a great family film that anyone can enjoy.
